With this form you can register for the Focus Area Digitalization and Artificial Intelligence.
Before you do so, please read the following information.
Currently, elective courses in this focus area are only accessible to students from the MSc BA, the MSc Marketing and the MSc TOM as part of the regular programme. If you decide to choose a focus area elective that is not part of the predetermined list of courses of your master programme, this must be completed on top of your regular coursework and your programme coordinator has to approve the electives you choose. Hence, please contact your programme coordinator before registering for the focus area.
To meet the requirements of the Focus Area Digitalization and Artificial Intelligence, you will need to:
- Write your Master's thesis on a topic related to this particular focus area (20 ECTS)
- Successfully complete two electives in Digitalization and Artificial Intelligence from a predetermined list (10 ECTS)
To have the focus area mentioned on the supplement of your Master's degree certificate,
you will need to:
- Include the course Focus Area Digitalization and Artificial Intelligence (EBF208A00) in the application for approval of your Master's programme in Progress.
- Send an abstract of your (planned) Master's thesis to the focus area coordinator Dr. Nicolai Fabian and ask the coordinator to confirm that the topic is related to Digitalization and Artificial Intelligence: db.focus.area@rug.nl (please note that this is not an official thesis registration; do not forget to complete your thesis registration via Progress too).
- Contact Dr. Isabel Estrada Vaquero once you have successfully completed the required elective courses and the thesis, and the results are registered in your result list in Progress.
- If you meet the focus area requirements, Dr. Estrada Vaquero will inform the Educational Administration that your completion of the Focus Area Digitalization and Artificial Intelligence may be registered in your result list.
- If you included the focus area in your application for approval, the course Focus Area Digitalization and Artificial Intelligence (EBF208A00) will be visible in your approved programme as completed. Following, the focus area will be registered in the supplement of your Master's degree certificate.
If you do not follow this procedure, the focus area cannot be registered on the supplement of your Master's degree certificate.
