Request eligibility for the statutory tuition fees or university tuition fees I

Below you can submit an application to check whether you are eligible for lower tuition fees. Once the online form has been completed, it will be automatically sent to the Immigration Service Desk (ISD). The ISD will then check whether you are indeed eligible for lower tuition fees on the basis of the information you have filled in. It takes around 10 working days for the ISD to process the request.

There are a number of criteria you will need to meet in order to send us an application. Students might be eligible for lower tuition fees if they meet all the conditions below:

1. Student is enrolled for a study programme at the University of Groningen
2. Student will only qualify if you have not previously earned a similar degree in the Netherlands (RIC article 12, paragraph 1, sub a).

3. Student meets the nationality requirement. This requirement will be checked by the ISD by means of this form and the necessary documents.

Should it be the case that you do not meet the first two requirements mentioned above (no. 1 and 2), it will unfortunately not be possible to forward the form.

Now there will be a personal questionnaire with which the ISD will assess whether you are eligible for lower tuition fees. This is for the nationality requirement. At the end of this form, you will be asked to upload document(s) as proof of the answers given to the questions.
