European privacy legislation states that the UG may not provide personal data to third parties. A (former) student must submit the verification request themselves and give the UG permission to share the information with the verification agency or employer.

You can apply for a Proof of Payment of Tuition Fees (BBC) for the purpose of enrolment at a second institution via Studielink.
A BBC can only be requested if you are already fully enrolled at the UG and you have submitted an enrolment application for a degree programme at another educational institution for the same academic year.

Download an extract via 'Mijn diploma's'

You can download a digital extract of your diploma for free via 'My diploma's' from DUO. This is possible if you obtained your diploma after 1 January 1996.

International students who have studied in the Netherlands can also consult this diploma register (provided they have DigiD). If they no longer have a DigiD they can send an email to: diplomaregister@duo.nl.

'My diploma's' contains diploma information for most Dutch degree programmes recognized by the Ministry of Education, Culture and Science. An extract from 'My diploma's' is an official document and it is considered valid proof of your obtained diploma, even though it does not look like your original diploma and grade list.

I need a certified copy of my diploma from the UG.

From the moment you are officially registered for the academic year, you will automatically receive the statement of enrolment by email within 2 working days via email. In addition, you can also download the statement via the Student Portal by going to RUG Tools and clicking on 'Enrolment and photo'.
