People who are neither students nor staff of the UG can use this form to apply for a library card for the University of Groningen Library.

A library card costs € 45 per year, unless you belong to a special user group, see UB per user group. If you are entitled to a free card or a reduced fee, please attach a document of proof to this application form. If you would like a combination card for the UB and Public Library; please report to the 'Forum Bibliotheek Groningen'.

We will send an e-mail as soon as your card is ready to be collected from the Library Support Desk. You will need valid ID. You will also be able to pay here if required. Payments are only possible with a debit card.

N.B. This library card does not grant you remote access to the UG’s electronic files, journals and e-books. These are only accessible from within the UG network.
