Do you need a copy of the Altfriesisches Handwörterbuch?
The use of the Altfriesisches Handwörterbuch, Hofmann, D. & A. Popkema (Heidelberg: Winter Verlag, 2008) is mandatory. The normal cost is €88 but as there is a 40% discount in place so the amount due is €52,80. This will be added to your fee. The copy will be handed out to you on Day 1 of the summer school or shipped to you beforehand when attending online. *

Are you a linguistics student?
The OFSS is a an event within the field of linguistics. If you are not a linguistics student, there is a mandatory hybrid one-day introductory course (6 hrs) on Friday (4 July 2025), in order to get up to speed on terminology and the basics of Old Germanic languages. It is free of charge. *
