  • who can describe a concept of how they plan for their journal to address an audience ready to contribute with new articles and readership.
To enable us to assess whether your journal fits into our publishing activities, please complete the Journal Proposal Form below. The completed form is forwarded to the Editorial Board, after which they decide whether this proposal meets the requirements. After a positive decision, we will move forward with setting up your journal and drafting a publishing contract.

Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any further questions about our services or about this proposal form at ugp@rug.nl.

An ORCID iD (Open Researcher and Contributor iD) is a unique and permanent identifier for researchers.
Where do they come from? How do they represent the scope of the journal? How much shall they be involved in the practical journal tasks?  Who will be part of the editorial team and the editorial board?
If you have not contacted your intended partners for collaboration, please provide a plan for this.
How is it original and why should we publish it? In case of a new journal please provide a short outline of the background of your idea to start a new journal.
Which topics do you think it would cover and in which area are submissions accepted? How would you say that the articles published in your journal would lead to further development of the research area in general and/or specifically?
We recommend starting the first volume with some articles authored by well-renowned authors in the field, preferably presenting original research or a literature review that sets the tone of coming volumes.
A minimum of 6 articles is recommended
If you have not contacted your intended partners for collaboration, please provide a plan for this.
